Unseen Genius Sketches

Description

Last night I was rummaging though my old stuff and found these sketches. They´re back from the times when I had this club  :iconunseen-genius-club:  about Unseen Genius, the best Phantom of the Opera fanfic I ever read. Writen by   .  (here: www.fanfiction.net/s/2272025/1…

Basically, the fanfic starts from the point where the movie ends. After being abandoned by Christine, a  brokenhearted, sick Erik is found by a young widow, Brielle, in the full-of-smoke Opera cellars. She was helping the victims of the fire caused by the chandelier crash - but Erik is so near to death ill that Brielle takes him to her own home, unaware that Erik is actually the Phantom of the Opera.

When Erik comes back from his fever, he´s not grateful at all... he only can think about his lost love, and takes it on poor Brielle, by turning the porridge on her - as you can see in the second scene. But Brielle is not the kind of woman who takes a man´s rudeness easily, and Erik realizes he´ll have to learn to be nice, while he´s recovering in Brielle´s house.  (yeah... a little like Beauty and the Beast movie)

The first scene shows Erik´s first meeting with Aria - Brielle´s little daughter. He never was so close to a child and doesn´t know what to do, but she´s not afraid of his mask.

I didn´t post these sketches years ago because of a wave of excessive autocritic (Erik´s anatomy, the terrible furniture, etc...)   But recently, I found some :iconinyuji:  old sketches and the bittersweet remembrances washed me.  Then I thought "what the heck, show it off". :shrugs:

I've always enjoyed your UG pics. Glad to see it posted again. :D

If you haven't already read it, I recommend "Fraternité" by Gondolier.  Definitely one of my all time favorite PotO fics.

While I enjoyed "Unseen Genius" very much, I've gone back and read "Fraternité" at least twice more since my first reading.  Christine learns how to use the Punjab lasso!
